The City of Bowling Green, KY is soliciting proposals from qualified general contractors for a design/build project to renovate the kitchen at Fire Station #3, located at 150 Bennett Lane in Bowling Green Kentucky. The existing kitchen is original to the building and in disrepair. The area is approximately 17' x 30'. Contractors shall provide new commercial laminate cabinets, stainless steel counter tops, new island with stainless steel counter tops, new commercial appliances, and space to accommodate three refrigerators, also supplied by the contractor. This is an evaluated bid with price, scope, and design being the evaluation criteria. The budget for this project is $130,000 The base bid is for the renovation of Fire Station #3 with an alternate to renovate the kitchen at Fire Station #4, which is identical to Fire Station #3. Fire Station #4 is located at 835 Morgantown Road in Bowling Green Kentucky. Notice to Proceed January 22, 2024 (Pending contract approval) Project Final Completion 30 calendar days from notice to proceed A cashier's check, or certified check, may be substituted for the Bid Bond. Also, an irrevocable letter of credit from a state or federally chartered bank, may be substituted as a form of a Bid Bond. The Bid Bond, or substitution security, shall be in the amount of five (5) percent of the total proposal cost. Upon contractual agreement, if the contract award is for $100,000 or more, the successful Respondent must replace the Bid Bond with a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in an amount no less than one hundred (100) percent of the total proposal cost. The City of Bowling Green, Kentucky reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received, and to select that bid which it determines to be in its best interest. The award of this RFP will be made on the basis of the best evaluated offer as permitted in KRS 45A.365. The City of Bowling Green, Kentucky reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received in response to this RFP, and to waive any informality in this offering. The award of a contract shall be at the sole discretion of the City of Bowling Green, Kentucky. The award will be made to the responsible Respondent whose proposal is determined to be the most advantageous to the City, taking into consideration the evaluation factors set forth in this proposal package. The City of Bowling Green may make the award without further discussion of the proposals submitted. Therefore, the proposal should be submitted initially on the most favorable terms which the Respondent can propose with respect to price, product, service, and technical capability. The contents of the proposal of the selected Respondent will become the basis for the City of Bowling Green, Kentucky's contractual obligation when the award is made This RFP shall be governed by the applicable Model Procurement Code of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and any applicable regulations of the City of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
