The City is seeking quotes from qualified vendors for the drilling of water wells at Meadowcreek Fairgrounds, Michie Drive and Rives Park garden plot sites. Contractor will drill water wells at Meadowcreek Fairgrounds, Michie Drive and Rives Park garden plot sites. Location of wells will be placed in a common area for public use. The City will approve well site locations before drilling. The Contractor is to obtain all permits and health department approval before drilling. Each well is to be drilled and to be lined and grouted to bedrock depth. The well reservoir shall meet permitted standards. A hand pump will be installed at each site. Hand pump is to be sized per well depths. Water wells not to exceed 250' without prior authorization. The Contractor is to provide documentation to verify well depths. Work Schedule: A. All work shall be performed per the following schedule: i. January 8, 2024: Work may begin on or after this date. ii. January 25, 2024: Substantial Completion. iii. February 2, 2024: Final Completion (all punch-list and close out requirements complete). B. Following are Available Working Hours: i. Monday-Friday: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm ii. Other times as agreed to by the Owner. C. Notice to Proceed (NTP) will be in the form of a written Purchase Order. Within one week of the date of the NTP, the Contractor shall provide a basic project schedule suitable to the Owner (include work start, milestones, substantial completion, and final completion) and in compliance with Sections 'A' and 'B' directly above. D. Prior to beginning any work at the site, a pre-construction meeting is to be held and shall include the following: Owner's tenant, Owner's Project Manager, Owner's Construction Manager, and Contractor. BID ACCEPTANCE PERIOD: Each bid submitted must be and remain valid for a period of at least sixty (60) days from bid opening. Erroneous bids may be reclaimed or superseded any time prior to bid opening time; Modification of or corrections to bids are not acceptable after bids have opened. Any new bid must be marked with the additional notation "Supersedes all previous submissions." No bidder may withdraw his bid from consideration after bid opening due to a mistake, except as permitted by the Code of Virginia 2.2-4330.
