Liquidated Damages $500 per day Project Duration 180 working days Q&A Deadline 11/28/2023 12:00 PM (PST) The scope of work comprises general construction including remodeling, demolition, and all related site improvements of Fire Station 262 located at 1690 Garden Street, Redlands, CA 92373 for the City of Redlands. The City Council of the City of Redlands reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any irregularity, and award contracts in the best interests of the City. Bid security, in the form of a cashier's check, a certified check made to the order of the City of Redlands, or a Bidder's Bond, and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid is required to be submitted with each Bid. Said check or bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into contract with the City of Redlands if awarded the work, and will be declared forfeited if the selected bidder fails to enter into contract within fourteen (14) days after Notice of Award. The Bidder to whom award is made will be required to furnish a Labor and Material Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond each in an amount of 100% of the Bid amount, from surety company satisfactory to the City of Redlands. Pursuant to CA Labor Code Section 1770 et seq., the successful bidder shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. Pursuant to provisions of Section 22300 of the California Public Contract Code, the Contractor may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the City to ensure performance of the work. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 3300 of the California Public Contract Code, Bidders shall be licensed as "Class A" or "Class B" and provide their California State Contractor's License numbers to the City. In addition, no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. All terms and conditions contained in the Contract Documents including the Instructions to Bidders shall become a part of the Contract. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of Bid Opening. It shall be understood, however, that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone, nor will any products be considered for approval prior to award of the Contract. NEW / REMODEL SITE IMPROVEMENTS CONSISTING OF CMU RETAINING WALLS, TUBE STEEL FENCING, CREW PARKING AREA, AND LANDSCAPING.
