Scope Furnish all labor and materials, equipment for cleaninag interior and exterior of 500,000-gallon welded steel ground storage tank, 1-10,000-gallon and 2-20,000-gallon hydro pneumatic tanks, perform repairs as required, remove and replace tank appurtenances, removal and replacement of above-ground air lines, furnish and install fiberglass instrument cabinets and equipment, incidental electrical conduit and wiring for sensors and probes, coating the inter or and exterior tank surfaces and above-ground piping. Theses are all existing tanks at the District s Water Plant No. 1. The deadline to ask questions is 11/30/2023 12:00 PM CST A Bid Bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total base bid, The successful bidder must furnish PERFORMANCE and PAYMENT BONDS on the forms furnished with the Contract Documents, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract price including a Maintenance Bond, from a surety company licensed by the Texas State Board of Insurance to act as surety. Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds must have a minimum Bests Key Rating of B Plus. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in bidding except the time of bid submittal. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the prices in any bid, the Owner reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof based on the relative importance of price and other evaluation factors included in the instruction to bidders, or to reject the bid. Within limits indicated, or in areas where existing grade is to be altered, strip existing topsoil to 6-inch depth, and stockpile in approved areas for subsequent replacement. Remove and dispose of all vegetation, roots, and waste material in an approved manner. Fill: Use approved excess excavation or borrow material. Where necessary to borrow material, borrow from approved source, excavate, and clean up borrow area. Material stripped from borrow site not to be reused unless specifically designated on PLANS or by Special Provisions to this item.
