The City of Morro Bay ("City") is requesting a proposal from qualified firms, consultants, or individuals (Offerors) with to submit written proposals for planning, design and construction document services for an existing fire Station living quarters renovation. The City of Morro Bay is soliciting proposals from qualified consultant firms to provide services in connection with planning, design, and construction document services in support of Morro Bay's plans to renovate the Bonita Street fire station living quarters. The City of Morro Bay intends to use the Consultant's work product to advertise and award a contract to construct the renovation of the Bonita Street fire station pending city council approval and funding. The Morro Bay City Council has approved funding the design documents for the Bonita Street Station, council has not approved nor funded the construction or renovation of this station. The design documents are intended to assist the council in determining the feasibility of renovating and potentially staffing the Bonita Street station. There is no expressed or implied obligation for the City of Morro Bay to reimburse the responding firms for any expenses incurred in preparing proposals in response to this request. The City of Morro Bay reserves the right to reject any or all proposals submitted, to waive any irregularities or informalities not affected by law, to evaluate the proposals submitted, and to award the contract according to the proposal which best serves the interests of the City. All proposals will be compared on the basis of understanding the scope of work to be performed, methods and procedures to be used, management, personnel and experience, and consultation and coordination with the City of Morro Bay.
