The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for Roof, Skylight, and Chimney removal and Water Heater, DWV plumbing, and Toilet replacement at 10809 Sidney Rd, Sand Lake, MI 49343. Any and all communication regarding this Solicitation shall be on the Kent County Purchasing Division Inquiry Blog via the Bid Opportunities page or during pre-proposal meetings. Kent County reserves the right to determine the response format or not respond, at its sole discretion. Question Deadline 12/08/2023 at 2:00 PM ET Bidders are encouraged to establish delivery schedules and divide total requirements, when economically feasible, into smaller tasks or quantities to permit maximum participation by small and minority businesses, and women's business enterprises. Kent County encourages bidders to use small business associations, minority business development groups, and local organizations when soliciting potential subcontractors for this project. No Bid Bond is required if Respondent's offer is less than $500,000. If the offer is withdrawn after Solicitation opening, Respondent may be removed from the Bidder's List ("Vendor Registration") pursuant to Kent County Purchasing Central Purchasing and Open Market Procedures for Goods and Services section D.13 Failure to Perform Satisfactory. Each offer over $500,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond executed by the Respondent and payable to County of Kent for 5% of the total amount of the offer. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds or Performance Bonds must file a certified dated copy of their Power of Attorney certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) may be submitted In lieu of a Bid Bond. Personal checks are NOT acceptable. Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100% of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract.
