Demolition, site work, paving, asbestos abatement, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Bell Gardens, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 13,113-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; for asbestos abatement for a playground / park / athletic field; swimming pool; swimming pool; swimming pool; swimming pool; swimming pool; swimming pool; water / sewer project; water / sewer project; water / sewer project; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
1. CONTRACTOR shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals as specified and required for demolition, removal and disposal. 2. Included, but not limited to, are demolition and removals of existing materials, equipment, as shown and specified, and to connect same with existing work in an approved manner. Demolition includes structural concrete, foundations, walls, doors, windows, structural steel, metals, roofs, masonry, attachments, appurtenances, piping, electrical and mechanical equipment, paving, curbs, walks, fencing, , brush, rubbish, scrap, and similar existing facilities. The CONTRACTOR shall also be responsible for the removal of hazardous materials including asbestos and lead based paint as specified in these specifications. 3. Demolition and removals which may be specified under other Sections shall conform to requirements of this Section. A. Demolition Procedures: Submit to the City Engineer for approval proposed methods, equipment, and operating sequences. B. Demolition Schedule: The CONTRACTOR shall submit a schedule to the Engineer which indicates the proposed sequence of demolition Engineering Cost Estimate: $24 - $27 million (including Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment)
