Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Astoria, Oregon. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The intent of this contract is to construct pedestrian walkways, a Rectangular Rapid Flashing beacon and related improvements along Marine Drive (US 30) at 23rd Street. The following is a brief summary of the major elements of Work that are to be provided by the Contractor. 1 Removal of existing pavement, striping/ markings, sidewalks, curbs and other obstructions 2 Construction of new curbs, ADA ramps and sidewalks 3 Reconstruct street (excavation, aggregate base and asphaltic concrete paving) 4 Install pavement striping, markings and legends 5 Install Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon System, including signage 6 Provide and monitor temporary traffic control 7 Provide and monitor erosion control measures. Substantial Completion of Flashing Beacon: 180 days from Notice to Proceed Project Final Completion shall be 210 days from Notice to Proceed. Prequalification of bidders is required. Prequalification applications must be received at the above location no less than seven (7) calendar days prior to bid opening All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, a cashier s check or bid bond in an amount equal to at least 5% of the total bid.
