Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Auburn, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The City's estimate of the contract associated with this RFP ranges from $500,000 to $600,000, excluding future phases and optional work. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Consultant work is anticipated to include the following:: o Utility and Street Infrastructure: Preliminary engineering and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimate for roadway and utility infrastructure improvements in Downtown Auburn that are at or near the end of their useful service life. Utility work includes approx. 600 LF of new sanitary sewer, 500 LF of new water main, 150 LF of underground overhead power and communications facilities, replacement traffic signal, 3300 SY of full roadway, sidewalk, and plaza areas, pedestrian scale decorative street lighting, downtown standard street lighting, enhanced crossing, storm drainage analysis and design including preparation of necessary reports, documentation, and plans. The Consultant's schedule must provide for the Utility and Street Infrastructure work advertising for construction contract bids prior to October 31, 2024. o Advancement of City's current conceptual design alternative for replacement of the existing Auburn Avenue Theater to a 30% schematic design level including drawings, renderings, basis of design documentation, specifications outline, and estimate. This work will include coordination and outreach with stakeholders both external and internal to the City. The new theater will be required to meet LEED Certification Level Silver. The Consultant's schedule must provide for the final 30% work products to be provided to the City prior to June 1, 2024. o Depending on funding availability, future phases of Consultant work may include further design development of the new theater to produce 60%, 100% permitting, and construction documents including plans and specifications. Additional work may also include construction administration and support during bidding, construction, and close-out phases. If questions arrive during solicitation of this proposal that require clarification or would otherwise prove helpful to each of the prospective consulting teams submitting proposals, the City will post responses to those questions or provide additional information pertaining to this project to the City's website. Any posted responses or additional information will be available on or before 5:00 PM, Friday, November 24, 2023. TERMS AND CONDITIONS The City of Auburn reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals and to waive irregularities and informalities in the submittal and evaluation process. This solicitation for Consultant Services does not obligate the City of Auburn to pay any costs incurred by respondents in the preparation and submission of a Proposal. This solicitation does not obligate the City of Auburn to accept or contract for any expressed or implied services. Furthermore, the City of Auburn reserves the right to award the contract to the next most qualified Consultant if the selected Consultant does not execute a contract within thirty 30 days after the award of the proposal. The City of Auburn in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (Section 504) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), commits to nondiscrimination on the basis of disability, in all of its programs and activities.
