Scope of Work The scope of work to be provided includes engineering design services for the Storm Sewer Rehabilitation (Flatwoods Road and 68 th Avenue) project. Earlier in 2023, the City of Northport conducted a storm sewer assessment of its existing storm sewer system, specifically focusing on corrugated metal pipe (CMP). The primary purpose of this project is to repair existing infrastructure to reduce risks of failure, flooding, and associated potential public safety hazards, specifically storm sewer improvements along Flatwoods Road and 68 th Avenue. The five areas with the highest overall risk scores will be addressed in this project and are listed below: Flatwoods Road, west of Harper Road Flatwoods Road, near Highway 82 Flatwoods Road, near 68 th Avenue intersection 68 th Avenue from Hibiscus Lane to Grand Brook Drive Flatwoods Road, near 36 th Street Services to be included in the scope of the project for this contract will include but are not limited to: Review identified rehabilitation and repair areas as listed above, including previous inspection reports and other data provided by the City of Northport Coordinate and execute any additional CCTV data or inspections as needed Develop recommendations for addressing repair and rehabilitation of the identified areas Prepare design documents including estimated cost of work and schedule for City of Northport review and approval Develop bid ready contract documents Provide bidding and design support services during construction Coordinate and conduct all requirements and submissions associated with the project as directed under Alabama Department of Environmental Management and American Recovery Plan funding.
