The Project consists of the following major elements: installation of curb and gutter, drainage structures and pipes, concrete sidewalks, signing and striping, and all associated Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements including ADA ramps and driveway upgrades. Miscellaneous water line adjustments will be required to meters, valves and fire hydrants. All other required utility relocations will be handled directly by the utility owner. The construction of this project is federally funded and shall comply with all federal requirements. This 2.6-mile sidewalk project consists of a transit-oriented streetscape along both sides of Old National Highway (S.R. 279) beginning at Flat Shoals Road and continues to Jonesboro Road. Proposed improvements include Sidewalks, which vary in width from 5' to 6' with a 2' stamped concrete strip installed at the back of the existing curb, and landscaping on both sides of Old National Highway. Signal upgrades will be completed at the following intersections along Old National Highway: Bethsaida Road; Creel Road; Woodward Road, and McGhee Landing. Performance and payment bonds are required as per Section 103.05. This results in a performance bond of 100% of the contract amount and a payment bond of 110% of the contract amount. This work consists of furnishing materials, labor, tools, equipment, and other items necessary for installing, removing, abandoning, relocating, and adjusting water distribution systems according to the Plans and Specifications.
