Snow removal at the Supervisors Office Period of : 12/05/2023 to 10/31/2024 Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment and labor to complete Snow Removal in accordance with its schedule, specifications, sketch and contract clauses/provisions contained herein. The Contractor shall utilize products and materials that promote energy conservation, pollution prevention, waste reduction, use of recovered materials (e.g., Ice Melting Products), that are environmentally preferable, with recycled content and that are recyclable, are made from bio-based materials and are energy efficient (Energy Star- qualified) to the maximum extent possible without jeopardizing the intended end use or detracting from the overall quality delivered. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Work Schedule: Complete by 6:00 am Monday thru Friday, except on Federal Holidays, when the following conditions exist on the walking and driving surfaces: When there is Snow or Slush accumulation of 1 inch or more. When there are icy conditions that present a slipping hazard. 2. Snow Removal: Shall be completed in the following areas. Parking Lots Walking Surfaces South Patio Area HVAC System Area Garage Area Around Fire hydrant Mailbox access 3. Snow Storage: Areas are indicated on the attached site map as (no parking areas November-May). All snow and slush shall be piled in designated areas only. Snow piles shall be consolidated to conserve storage area. Piling of snow in undesignated areas, by the Service Provider will not be acceptable and shall be moved to the designated snow storage areas, upon request, by COR and at the expense of the Service Provider. 4. Ice Melt Application: Provide and Spread, Ice Melt granules on these areas after snow or slush has been removed, up to facility entrances. Sidewalks South Patio Area HVAC Area (for access) 5. Parking Lots and Driveway Sanding: Provide and Spread Sand in the Parking Lot areas after snow or slush removal to provide safe driving of vehicles and walking for pedestrians from vehicles to the facility Sidewalks.
