This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Surrey, British Columbia. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

Services to be performed by the Contractor will occur in natural area park land such as forests and meadows. The litter, debris, and encampment removal services consist of three main types of work described: o Scheduled litter and debris removal; o On-Demand litter and debris removal; and o On-Demand encampment removal. (a) Scheduled Litter and Debris Removal: The City will provide maps indicating where the litter and debris is to be removed. Visible litter and debris (including yard waste) will be removed along approximately 125 km of trails. Litter and debris will also be removed along all natural area perimeters within parks, except road edges and private property boundaries. Scheduled litter removal occurs two times per year: April and October within approximately 250 parks. Additional scheduled litter picks may be required in 20-30 specific parks. (b) On-Demand Litter and Debris Removal: The City will provide the Contractor with sites that require litter and debris removal as they arise throughout the year. Debris removal may include yard waste, litter, and illegal bike and fort structures. Sites may be located anywhere within natural area park land, but are typically by a trail or road edge. On average, there are 25 demand removals per month, with the workload increasing between May and September. (c) On-Demand Encampment Removal: The City will provide locations and maps of homeless encampments within natural area parks as they arise throughout the year. All litter and debris from the encampments requires removal. Sites may be located anywhere within the natural areas, including areas with limited accessibility from road or trail edges. On average there are approximately 15 demand encampment removals per month. The Contractor will not be responsible for evicting anyone but may be on site with Bylaws or police when this is occurring.
