Renovation of a residential development in Canon City, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
**As of December 8, 2023 project was awarded to HighPoint Builders Ltd awarded amount is $28,591.91** This Scope of Work describes the deliverables sought through this DQ and the scope of what the awarded Offeror will be expected to offer through the Contract or Purchase Order resulting from this DQ. The Scope of Work is intended to provide interested Offerors with sufficient basic information to submit a quote. It is not intended to limit a quote's content or exclude any relevant or essential data. A. Background and Program Objectives i. The Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC), Colorado Correctional Industries (CCi) is seeking a vendor to repair a Red Hay Barn at the at 57500 East Hwy 50 and Evans Rd, Canon City CO 81212. ii. This structure was damaged during a wind storm and the following repairs are needed: a. Detach and preserve the metal siding and bypass wooden purlins as needed to access three (3) damaged wooden columns. b. Shore the roof and replace each damaged column with a new preservative treated member that is laminated using construction adhesive and two (2) rows of 16-penny nails spaced at eight (8) inches center to center vertically. The base of each column should extend a minimum of four (4) feet below grade. c. Encase the base of each column in a 24-inch diameter pier using 3,500 psi concrete. Reinforce the concrete using five No. 5 rebars vertically and No. 4 rebar stirrups spaces at 8 inches center to center vertically. d. Reattach the bypass wooden purlins and metal siding. e. Repair the 31 displaced wall panels as follows: o Detach and preserve the metal siding located directly on the outside surface of the existing perimeter columns that have separated girts/purlins. o With the exterior metal siding detached, remove the existing girts/purlin fasteners. o Attach the existing wooden bypass girts/purlins tight to the outside face of the existing columns using two 3 1/2-inch-long No 9 wood screws at purlin ends and four 3 1/2 inch long No 9 wood screw if the purlin is continuous. f. Repair the damaged polycarbonate/plastic windows as follows. o Remove any remaining portions of the damaged window panels. o Attach 74 new 3-foot wide by 4-foot tall semi-translucent polycarbonate/plastic windows to the framing. Attach the windows to the framing using No 9 by 1-1/4 inch long galvanized Type-W hex-head screws with neoprene washers. Space the attachment screws at four (4) inches center to center along the top and bottom edges of the windows. iii. Photos of Commodity Pole Barn are attached to this solicitation and show the damage to the structure. iv. Awarded vendor will need to provide a timeline on requested repairs.
