Project Description/services Requested the Steam Tunnels at the Energy Center of the State Secondary Complex Are Experiencing Water Infiltration and Have Experienced Infrastructure Damage as a Result. This Tunnel System is Responsible for Supplying Steam for Heating, Chilled Water, and Electricity for the Secondary Complex. There Are Approximately 3 Miles of Steam Tunnels, and Damage is Intermittent Throughout These Tunnels. Water Infiltration Has Occurred Primarily at Joints in the Concrete Construction, However There is Also Some Visible Damage to Tunnel Rebar and Steam Support Structure. the Design Professional Will Be Responsible for an Initial Phase 100 Study Outlining the Extent of Existing Damage, Cause of Infiltration, and Develop Strategies for Addressing the Damage / Remediation. the Initial Study Should Include Cost Estimation of Remediation Efforts. Following This, the Design Professional Will Be Responsible for Developing Phase 400 and Phase 500 Documentation of Repair and Remediation Work Including Civil, Structural, Architectural, and Any Mechanical or Electrical Re-routing Involved During Construction. They Will Also Be Responsible for Phase 600-700 Construction Administration.
