Renovation of a mixed-use development in Manhattan, Illinois. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of February 29, 2024, No bids accepted. No definite date for the rebid.** A. The Project consists of the following general activities as described in the Construction Documents and Project Manual for Anna McDonald Summer 2023 Renovations, located in Manhattan, Illinois for Manhattan School District 114. B. The work of the Project shall include all labor, material, and equipment to provide complete installation of all work including all code required devices and functions that may not specifically be indicated in this Project Manual. 1. The work includes (not to be taken as a complete description or extent of the work) as follows a. Selective demolition of hollow metal doors, glazing, and storefront frames b. new aluminum doors, aluminum storefront, glazing, and door hardware c. salvaged and reused electrical security access hardware and accessories 2. Commencement of Work: Demolition and construction to begin as noted below: a. as early as Friday, March 22, 2024, except as noted b. coordinate with Owner for potential earlier start date 3. The Work includes scheduling coordination with the Owner or Owner's contractor(s) for site access and usage. Each Proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Bank Draft or Certified Check made payable to the order of the Board of Education, Manhattan School District 114, Manhattan, Illinois, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid. The Bid Guarantee assures that if an award is made, the Bidder will sign a Contract and qualify for, and where required, provide a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to the Contract Sum, all within ten days following the award of a Contract. The Contractor is required to pay for and include as part of his Proposal the cost for providing a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond to cover the cost of the entire Project. The Bid Bonds of the unsuccessful Bidders will be returned after Contracts have been executed between the Owner and the successful Contractor. The Owner reserves to accept that be final. the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof at its sole discretion and bid which is considered in the best interest of the District. Such decisions shall Owner reserves procedures. the right to waive any or all irregularities or informalities in bidding.
