Renovation of a municipal facility in Medford, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Gloucester County YMCA is preparing to carry out a Heating and Air Conditioning Replacement project through the use of Community Development Block Grant Funds. In the implementation of this project, a formal Request for Proposals (RFP) for Heating and Air Conditioning Contractors and Installers will be posted. Mechanical contractor to remove two existing air handling units, condensing units, duct work, electrical power connections, piping, controls and other associated appurtenances. Install two new ductless split systems, outdoor air supply fans and controls. System one is composed of one indoor unit and one outdoor unit. System two is composed of one outdoor unit and 7 indoor units. Include all permits, duct work, piping, controls, insulation, mounting, cutting and patching, etc. for complete operational systems. An electrical contractor to provide permits, power to the indoor units, outdoor units and supply fans. All above referenced procurements will be made on a competitive basis. "Prevailing wages established under the DavisBacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses, and related matters. Section 3 requirements apply only to contracts awarded over $200,000. The provisions of the Federal Government Department of Labor's current wage rate determinations are requirements of this project. The minimum participation level of five percent (5%) for Minority Business Enterprises and three percent (3%) for Women Business Enterprises MBE/WBE has been established. The successful bidder will be required to submit evidence that these goals have been met either through his/her own employment practices or through the use of MBE/WBE subcontractors and vendors. Failure to comply may result in the bidder being determined not responsible. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
