Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Conceptual plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for the construction of a 20,000-square-foot, one-story above grade transportation facility.

Design-Build services for a new Electric Bus Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF), to be located on LOT 2011-1, which borders Mt. Edward Road in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The new Facility will be built adjacent to the existing Bus Facility and Offices and will comprise storage bays for 19 electric public transit buses, 3 maintenance bays, and mezzanines containing additional storage, washrooms, showers, training room, lunchroom, and service rooms. The existing service bays and office building entrance facing Mount Edward Road will be required to remain accessible during construction. The new MSF project is approximately 1,860m2 (20,000 square feet) on the ground floor, with a mezzanine floor of 205m2 of offices and 195m2 of charging equipment space, dependent on the design. The total built-up area is estimated to be approximately 2,260m2. See Appendix C for the drawings of the existing Bus Facility and Offices, and Appendix D for the drawings of the new Electric Bus Maintenance and Storage Facility. The new MSF building shall be connected to the existing Bus Facility and Offices, and therefore, limited demolition of the joining side of the existing building may be required. The new building shall be located at a similar elevation to the existing building to avoid unnecessary slopes and grades. A connection between the two buildings is not required.
