This project involves full depth widening and resurfacing of Cleveland Avenue from Kohr Place to Loretta Avenue and on Hudson Street from Greenwich Street to Linden Avenue. Improvements include curb, storm sewer, lighting, waterline, walk, shared use path, and traffic signal upgrades, and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, as set forth in this Invitation For Bid (IFB).Only pre-qualified prime contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. ODOT Pre-qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. The "prime" contractor must perform no less than 50 percent of the total original price The DBE Goal for this project is 8%. The last day to submit questions is May 10, 2024; phone calls will not be accepted. Responses will be posted on Bid Express as an addendum. Notice of published addenda will be posted on the Citys Vendor Services web site and all addenda will be posted on www.bidexpress.com. The bid bond amount shall be equal to or exceed (10%) percent of this total amount. certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit equal to 10% of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to secure a contract performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, including the guarantee period, in accordance with Columbus City Code Chapter 329 and the current edition of the City of Columbus Ohio Construction and Material Specifications (CMS) to assure the faithful performance of the work. The city reserves the right to reject a bid it deems non-responsive.
