The City of Weatherford (Owner) is accepting proposals from qualified firms to provide Pre Construction and Construction Services using a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) construction delivery method for the construction of the Dr. Paul Phillips Water Purification Plant Expansion to 18 MGD (Project). The Owner intends to award one contract to the most qualified firm using a one-step CMAR selection process in accordance with Texas Government Code Chapter 2269. Background Information : The Owner owns and operates the Dr. Paul Phillips Water Purification Plant (WPP) located at 118 W Lake Drive, Weatherford, Texas 76087 in Parker County. The purpose of the Project is to increase total capacity of the WPP from 14 to 18 MGD, with provisions for a future expansion to 22 MGD. The Project will be designed and constructed in three phases - Phases II, III, and IV. The Design Engineer's preliminary conceptual opinion of probable construction, the target design phase (Pre-Construction Services), and the target construction final completion dates are provided in the table below.
