Regulatory Requirement Davis Bacon Act Inclusion Program DBE/WBE Inclusion Program Utilization Goals 32% DBE/ 6% WBE Contract Term 655 calendar days Bond Required Yes The scope of Work includes but is not limited to: o Installation of approximately 1,205 LF of 6-inch thru 48-inch diameter ductile iron pipe and fittings using open cut installation method. o Rehabilitation of approximately 1,135 LF of existing 48-inch diameter steel water main by slip lining using either a 42-inch diameter High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) or a 36-inch diameter Fusible Polyvinyl Chloride (FPVC) pipe. o Rehabilitation of approximately 85 LF of 48-inch steel water main using Carbon-fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) repair. o Installation of all associated appurtenances including, but not limited to, valves, access manholes, air release and drain valves, fire hydrants, interconnections, and concrete thrust bocks. o Corrosion control for new ductile iron pipe, fittings and appurtenances. o Site restoration. o Provide all parts of the Work indicated in the Contract Documents, along with all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to make the project complete and operational, including any equipment and materials not indicated on the Drawings or mentioned in the Specifications but are necessary to achieve a fully functional Project. Please be aware that this project will be subject to DC Water's Business Diversity Equity and Inclusion initiatives. Inasmuch the utilization goals for certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises and Women Business Enterprises will be in effect as well as mandatory requirements for a robust and active engagement with the certified firm community. Additionally, contractors will be expected to support DC Water's local hiring initiatives, specifically targeting jobs and training opportunities (to include apprenticeship) for residents in underserved communities.
