Site work and paving for a civil project in Woodland, California. Working plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Construction of the 2023 Groundwater Extraction Wells which includes but not limited to: Perform existing utility survey, including protection of newly constructed water supply line, prepare and implement a storm drainage and erosion control plan; provide construction surveys and as-built/record drawings; clearing and grubbing; construct new stormwater ditch crossings, furnish and install new stormwater drainage culverts; earthwork; furnish and install groundwater extraction wells and appurtenances; trenching; construction of concrete pads; replacement of demolished asphalt pavement; furnish and install pipelines including fittings and valves; furnish and install electrical conduits; furnish and install electrical conductors and cables; furnish and install electrical control panels, including instrumentation; install rip rap pad; waste removal; implementation of temporary traffic control measures. Copies or facsimiles of the bidder's completed and executed proposal forms submitted as a proposal will be rejected. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond made payable to Yolo County for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of proposal, such guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. If a bond is used, it must be signed by the bidder and by a signatory of an authorized surety company all as provided by law. Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 22300, the successful bidder may substitute certain securities for funds withheld by the County to ensure its performance under the contract. The engineers estimate for this project is $ 1,131,053.00. FORTY-FIVE (45) working days are allowed for completion of the work. Questions must be submitted in writing through Electronically by 5pm on February 21st Answers will be posted on Electronically by 5pm on February 16th.Every answer will constitute an addendum to the Specifications. Inquiries or questions based on alleged patent ambiguity of the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry prior to bid opening. Any such inquiries or questions, submitted after bid opening, will not be treated as a bid protest. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond, each in the full amount of the contract price. These bonds shall be executed by a surety specified in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.310. The County affirms that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, all bidders will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates in the county in which the work is to be done have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. These wage rates are set forth in the General Prevailing Wage Rates for this project, available for review at Yolo County Central Landfill, 44090 County Road 28H, Woodland, California and available from the California Department of Industrial Relations' internet web site. Future effective general prevailing wage rates which have been predetermined and are on file with the California Department of Industrial Relations are referenced but not printed in the General Prevailing Wage Rate Determinations. The successful bidder shall post a copy of the prevailing wage rates at each job site. It shall be mandatory upon the bidder to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractors, to comply with all Labor Code provisions, which include but are not limited to the payment of not less than the said specified prevailing wage rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract, employment of apprentices, hours of labor and debarment of contractors and subcontractors. Pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.3, contractors and subcontractors who intend to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No proposal will be accepted nor any contract entered into without proof of the contractor's and subcontractors' current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform public work. If awarded a contract, the bidder and its subcontractors, of any tier, shall maintain active registration with the Department of Industrial Relations for the duration of the project. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the contractor registration requirements mandated by Labor Code Sections 1725.5 and 1771.1 shall not apply to work performed on a public work project that is exempt pursuant to the small project exemption specified in Labor Code Sections 1725.5 and 1771.
