Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Aurora, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a 200,000-square-foot municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
This Bid Package contains General Trades, Millwork, Gypsum Board, ACT, General Flooring, Specialty Flooring and Cranes R.C. Wegman Construction Company requests bid proposals on behalf of the City of Aurora for the construction of a 200,000+ SF Public Works Facility, located at 2000 Liberty Street, Aurora, IL 60502. Bidders requesting clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall provide a written request to the Construction Manager no later than Noon, December 7, 2023. Please direct all Requests for Information (RFIs) to: Douglas Bohr, R.C. Wegman Construction Company dougb@rcwegman.com and copy purchasingdl@aurora.il.us The City of Aurora reserves (i) the right to reject any or all bids, (ii) the right to waive irregularities or informalities in bidding procedure, and (iii) the right to award any portion or award on basis of total bid. All Bidders will be required to furnish bid security in the form of a bid bond, bank cashier's check or cash in the amount of (10%) of the base bid amount, and it shall be submitted with the Bid Proposal documents. Bid Bonds shall be made payable to City of Aurora. Performance and Payment Bond will be furnished by RCW, and will NOT be required by the Subcontractors.
