Project Information Sealed bids will be accepted from qualified contractors by Mancelona Public Schools for the Mancelona Middle School Asbestos Abatement project. Bid Security A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid amount is required and shall accompany the bid. Bid security may be in the form of a bid bond issued by a qualified surety authorized to do business in the State of Michigan, a cashier's check, or money order payable to Mancelona Public Schools. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the bid date. Familial Disclosure All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner(s) or any employee of the bidder and any member of the board, intermediate school board, or board of directors or the superintendant of the school district, or chief executive officer or the public school academy. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. Iran Economics Sanctions Act All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized affidavit of compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized affidavit. Bid Acceptance Mancelona Public Schools reserves the right to reject any or all bids per MCL 380.1267.
