The proposed improvements include upgrading the existing storm sewer system on Prado Woods Street to increase drainage capacity and minimize the risk of structural flooding in the subdivision during a NOAA Atlas 14 100-year storm event. Improvements to the roadway include realignment of the roadway, replacing the existing 20-feet concrete roadway with 28-feet B-B concrete curb and gutter roadway. The existing driveways will be replaced to the right of way. The storm sewer improvements include 414 linear feet (LF) of 24-inch RCP, 900 LF of 3'x2' RCB, 632 LF of 4'2' RCB, including inlets and junction boxes. The existing pavement, sidewalks with wheelchair ramps will be replaced to the curb returns along Grant Rd, along with relocating any existing utilities, as needed. Other improvements include restoring the site with hydromulch seeding and sodding, as well as connecting the existing yard drains to the new storm sewer system. The existing private water lines will be relocated as needed to avoid conflicts with proposed roadway and storm sewer system. B. The overall objective for this project is to improve the storm sewer system to reduce flooding along Prado Woods Street, that drains to Grant Road storm sewer system. C. The "Time of Completion" of this construction contract will be 120 working days (defined as consecutive calendar days).
