Renovation of a residential development in Omaha, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The City of Omaha, acting as Agent for the owner, invites bids for the Rehabilitation of Dwelling Unit at: 3908 Ames Avenue and 4205 Maple Street Licensed contractors whom are not registered as an eligible contractor for bidding may register for future projects Sealed bids are invited and will be received in the office of Rehabilitation Section of the Planning Department, Room 1111, Omaha/ Douglas Civic Center. Attention is called to the fact that not less than minimum salaries and wages as specified by the U.S. Secretary of Labor as set forth in the specification may be paid on the rehabilitation work. The contractor must, furthermore, insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color or creed, sex or national origin. The bidder must file a certificate of insurance with the Rehabilitation Section evidencing comprehensive public liability insurance coverage protecting the property owner for not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate arising out of the work performed by the contractor. Evidence of workmans compensation insurance must be shown prior to receipt of the order to proceed with the work.
