The deadline for submission of questions relating to this bid shall be November 29, 2023, by 5:00 p.m.\ The Selection Committee shall meet on December 14, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the Training Room located at 319 E. Anderson Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513 to review and discuss the bids. The Selection Committee's recommendation will be presented to the BOCC on January 9, 2024. Bid Bond 5% Board of Sumter County Commissioners wishes to solicit sealed bids from qualified contractors for construction of SR 44 and CR 229 Signalization Improvements. Scope of Services: The project is described on the signed and sealed construction plans titled as "SR 44 and CR 229 Signalization Improvements". This project includes the installation of a mast arm traffic signal with pedestrian features and lighting, as well as a turn lane the intersection of SR 44 and CR 229. Project Time: The project will include 240 calendar days of lead-time for material procurement and 120 calendar days from the start of construction to final completion. The 120-calendar day construction time will begin when construction begins. The Contractor shall send a formal letter to the County identifying the day construction is to begin if the entire 240-calendar day leadtime is not required. Final completion means all contract items have been completed, including but not limited to; items dependent on curing periods, testing, and inspections.
