As of 1/16/24, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Bid Guarantees are required pursuant to N.J.SA. 40A:11-21. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price not to exceed $20,000, payable unconditionally to the COUNTY OF ESSEX. A sample bond form is found herein. Bidder shall simultaneously with the delivery of the executed contract, submit an executed performance, and labor and material payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid as security for the faithful performance of this contract and for the required labor and materials of this contract. Upon acceptance of the work by the County, the contractor shall submit a maintenance bond (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-16.3) in an amount not to exceed 100% of the project costs guaranteeing against defective quality of work or materials for the period of 1 year. The work of this agreement consists of performance of authorized Intersections Rehabilitation Contract, County of Essex, by a Contractor who can demonstrate that he/she has the qualifications and experience to perform such work. A list of all intersections owned by the County is included in the appendix. The entire work of the Project shall be completed in 365 calendar days after notice to proceed All questions must be submitted in writing, to the Office of Purchasing via fax to 973-621-5109, no later than end of business, eight (8) business days prior to the deadline for submission of bids.
