Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Columbus, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; warehouse / distribution facility; and warehouse / distribution facility.
construction of the Merchant Road and R3 Property Demolition, C.I.P. No. 690607-100000 the work for which consists of demolition of existing structures at two locations. Site 1 demolition includes a large storage structure and two concrete structure and Site 2 demolition includes a single story residential property with a basement, pole barns/outbuildings, well house, and other miscellaneous structures, and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, in accordance with the drawings, technical specifications, special provisions, and City of Columbus Construction and Material specifications set forth in this Invitation For Bid (IFB). Question Deadline:12/11/2023 at 3:00 PM ET, Questions pertaining to this Invitation For Bid must be submitted via email to DPUConstructionBids@columbus.gov. The email should reference the project number and the project name. No phone calls will be accepted. For questions or help with electronically. All work shall be substantially complete within 150 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed, with final completion to occur within 180 calendar days. The City anticipates issuing a Notice to proceed on or about the first quarter of 2024 The bid bond amount shall be equal to or exceed ten percent (10%) of this total amount. If the contract estimated to cost over $100,000.00, the successful bidder will be required to secure a contract performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, including the guarantee period, in accordance with Columbus City Code Chapter 329 and the current edition of the City of Columbus Ohio Construction and Material Specifications (CMS) to ensure the faithful performance of the work. Contract Estimated to Exceed $500,000 But Not Exceed $2,000,000, For contract values estimated to not exceed $500,000, prequalification of bidders and subcontractors is not required, and licensed construction trade subcontractors are not required to be prequalified. Bidders are required to submit bids using current prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Franklin County and the City of Columbus, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division. Heavy Highway rates apply. See Section IV for the Prevailing Wage Determination Cover Letter and Prevailing Wage Rates. The City may cancel the IFB, reject any or all bids in whole or in part, waive technicalities, and/or advertise for new bids, without liability to the City and when in the best interest of the City up until the time the contract is executed by the City. The City shall have 180 calendar days from the date of the bid opening to provide the bidder a Notice of Intent to Award. During this 180 day period, the bidder agrees to hold their bid prices. The Revised Code of the State of Ohio, the Charter of the City of Columbus, and all City ordinances insofar as they apply to the laws of competitive bidding, contracts, and purchases, and wage theft prevention, are made a part hereof.
