Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Estimated Cost $150,000. The project consists of the culvert replacement located adjacent to #235 & #236 Sippewissett Road, West Falmouth, Falmouth, MA. Wage rates for this Project are subject to the minimum wage rates as per M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D inclusive. The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M. General Bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit. The amount of the bid deposit shall be an amount of 5 percent (5%) of the Bidder's maximum total bid price, payable to the Town of Falmouth, MA. The bid security will be retained until the successful bidder has executed the contract with the Town, whereupon it will be returned. If the bidder fails to execute the contract within 30 calendar days of the Notice of Award, the Town may annul the award and the bid security will be forfeited. The successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent (100%) Construction Performance Bond and a 100 percent (100%) Construction Payment Bond with a surety company licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be received in writing by the Town of Falmouth, Department of Public Works, Engineering Division, 416 Gifford Street, Falmouth, MA 02540 at least ten (10) days before the date set herein for the opening of bids.
