FDNY is seeking the services of a qualified General Contractor to provide on-call general contracting services for infrastructure upgrades, repairs, emergency repairs and renovation and rehabilitation of FDNY Facilities projects within Bronx Borough. The Fire Department of the City of New York seeks the services of a qualified General Contractor to provide on-call general contracting services for infrastructure upgrades, repairs, emergency repairs and renovation and rehabilitation of FDNY Facilities projects within the borough of Bronx. At the discretion of the FDNY, the contractor may be requested to work in other boroughs. At the discretion of the FDNY, the contractor may be requested to work in other boroughs. This competitive sealed bid (RFx) is being released through , New York City Electronic procurement portal. Responses to this RFx should be submitted via New York City Electronic procurement portal. This procurement is subject to LL1-MWBE. Bid Bond. If required in the Schedule of Bonds and Liability Insurance in this Invitation For Bids, no bid will be received or considered which is not accompanied by a Bid Bond (in the form set forth herein) issued by a surety company which is authorized to do business in the State of New York. 19 The Bid Bond shall insure the City of New York to the extent of not less than 10% of the amount of the Bid Contract Price. Anticipated Contract Start Date(M/d/yyyy): 3/4/2024 Anticipated Contract End Date(M/d/yyyy): 3/3/2029 Questions Due Date:12/11/2023 In lieu of a Bid Bond, the bid may be accompanied by a deposit in approximately the sum of 2% of the amount of the Bid Contract Price. Such deposit shall consist of a certified check upon a state or national bank or trust company or a check of such bank or trust company signed by a duly authorized officer thereof, drawn to the City which the Comptroller shall approve as of equal value with the sum so required. The bid deposit, in whatever form, must not be enclosed in the envelope containing the bid, but must be submitted separately to the ACCOs representative upon presentation of the bid. The Bid Bond, or check, or cash as the case may be, shall assure the City of New York and the Agency of the adherence of the bidder to its bid and the execution of the contract, in form as annexed hereto, if its bid is accepted. In lieu of a payment or performance bond, a bidder may deposit (a) cash in the form of a bank check or certified check payable to New York City Fire Department in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price or (b) a letter of credit in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Performance and payment bonds are required for all Task Orders issued pursuant to the terms and conditions of this contract.
