Center St 300 East Signal. Question Deadline 12/08/2023 at 3:00 PM MT. The Contractor shall be the company, with appropriate state licenses, contracted with by the City, by the competitive bid process to construct this project. Contractor is to read and understand the Special Conditions, plan drawings, and City Standards. All required documentation is due by the bid opening. Bids submitted incomplete may be rejected. A 5% Bid bond and payment and performance bonds shall be required as part of this project. A cashier's check may be submitted to the City in lieu of a bid bond. Work may be started as soon as Notice to Proceed is issued by the City. This project must be substantially completed by June 28, 2024. The OWNER may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all bids. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. The owner may at any time, as the need arises, order changes within the scope of the work without invalidating the agreement. If such changes increase or decrease the amount due under the contract documents, or in the time required for performance of the work, an equitable adjustment shall be authorized by change order. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES The date of beginning and the time for completion of the work are essential conditions of the contract documents and the work embraced shall be commenced on a date specified in the notice to proceed.
