Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the construction of a 163,000-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

This project will construct a new approximately 163,000 SF chemistry building to be located at the current Panhellenic Building site. The site is next to the historic Fort Sanders neighborhood, the Taylor Law School, and a busy intersection that divides campus into North/South sections, and Northeast and Northwest sections. The building will adhere to standard campus architecture (Collegiate Gothic) but will also consider the diversity of the buildings surrounding the site, and the safety of students crossing the busy intersection. The prominent nature of the site highlights future opportunities for improving connectivity. The project will also include several utilities infrastructure needs to accommodate this new service including electrical site upgrades and the inclusion of a new chiller plant which will run in concert with the existing plant in the Law Complex. The concrete and/or steel structure will likely be between seven and nine stories, including a mechanical penthouse, depending on the State Fire Marshal's requirement for which code to design the facility under. It will house primarily laboratory, support, and other research related space. The University intends to handle the demolition of the Panhellenic Building under a separate project. As of November 10, 2025, a groundbreaking ceremony was held in September of 2025. Completion is expected in the fourth quarter of 2029.
