Any addenda must be obtained directly from the owner** This contract consists of approximately 3300 feet of streetscape, roadway, storm drainage, and utility improvements, including the installation of approximately 1400 linear feet of proposed storm sewer and 3030 linear feet of proposed water line. Neither OWNER nor ENGINEER will be responsible for copies of the Bidding Documents obtained from sources other than the City of Greensboro. No proposal shall be considered or accepted by the City unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a five percent bid security as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required of the Successful Bidder following award of the Contract by the City. City of Greensboro personnel will discuss M/WBE requirements and the Engineer will be available to discuss the Contract and answer pertinent questions. The City reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids or to award such contract as in its judgement is deemed to be in the best interest of the City. Consideration will be given only to proposals submitted by contractors licensed in the state of North Carolina under the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1925 or as amended This work consists of removing existing sidewalk, driveways, curb and gutter, and concrete islands as part of the grading operations by the Contractor. This work consists of all work necessary to place ACO S100K Trench Drains in accordance with these provisions, the plans, and as directed. Construct City of Greensboro Standard masonry drainage structures including metal grates, covers, frames, steps and other hardware as shown in the plans and in accordance with City of Greensboro Roadway Standard Drawings and this project special provision. Manholes labeled as C.O.G. Standard No. 400 and 401 shall be in accordance with the City's "Roadway & Utility Standard Drawings" manual. The work shall involve furnishing and installation of brick or precast concrete manholes that meet the applicable details of City standards. The bottom slab shall be of Class B Concrete. Inverts shall be constructed so as to offer minimum obstruction to flow. Ring and covers shall be as shown in the C.O.G. Standard No. 413. The work covered by this section includes the construction of the roof drain system necessary to tie the existing roof drains into the proposed drainage system as shown on the roof drain system detail in the plans.
