Each bid for each project must be accompanied by a certified check on a solvent bank in the amount of 10% of the bid or a 100% Bid Bond, the same being payable to the City of North Olmsted as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and a Performance Bond satisfactory to said municipality in an amount equal to 100% of the total bid will be furnished. The project is located at the Springvale Golf Course at 5871 Canterbury Road in North Olmsted, Ohio. The scope of work includes excavation of sediment from the pond, hauling and placement of spoils at an on-site dump area as shown on the drawings, and site restoration The price bid shall include all labor, material, equipment, tools, services, and all other necessary work, permits, contractor registration, testing and/or inspection required by the City of North Olmsted necessary to complete these items as specified and required. The intent is to pay for as much dredging/sediment removal as possible without exceeding the estimated construction cost of $48,000. The bid form total cost is fixed; however, the quantity and unit prices will vary with each competitive bid. The contractor shall be paid for the actual amount of work performed for each item of work shown on the Bid Form. It is understood that the quantities shown on the Bid Form may increase or decrease as needed to complete the project. City reserves the right to self-perform the restoration items. It is the City's desire to have the total work completed no later than 30 days after the notice to proceed, but not later than March 13, 2024. The CONTRACTOR shall work continuously until the work is completed and shall not leave the job site until all phases are acceptable to the Engineer. All work shall be performed between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and shall be in conformance with the City's Noise Ordinance. The CONTRACTOR is to be registered with the City Building Department.
