The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for Chief Hazy Park Trail Parking Project at 791 Pettis Ave. NE, ADA, MI. This project consists of constructing an entry drive, 20 paved parking spaces, and a gravel lot for equestrian parking. The project shall include, but not limited to, the following requirements: striping of vegetation and topsoil, site excavation and grading, construction of an entry drive, paved parking, gravel parking, HMA paving, site restoration, seeding, and tree planting. Project desired to be completed by 5/31/24 and a mandatory completion date of 12/31/24. Once the project is started, work to be continuous until the point of completion with a maximum construction time frame of 3 months. County reserves the right to consider completion date in selection of award. Dimensions, if furnished, are for general reference only and should be verified by Respondent. Kent County will award and contract for the goods and services in this Solicitation in an efficient and timely manner. In no event will notification of award be more than 45 days from the date of submission. Each offer over $500,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond executed by the Respondent and payable to County of Kent for 5% of the total amount of the offer. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds or Performance Bonds must file a certified dated copy of their Power of Attorney. A certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) may be submitted In lieu of a Bid Bond. Personal checks are NOT acceptable PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100% of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract.
