Site work for a water / sewer project in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The proposed Leonard's Wharf Rehabilitation & Extension bulkhead will allow for the rehabilitation in the form of over sheeting 1,040 linear feet (LF) of the existing bulkhead and the creation of approximately 175 LF extension of the wharf, adding 450 LF of new bulkhead berth space. The installation of the bulkhead is required to support the remediation of the contaminated material along the berth dredging. This project includes dredging of approximately +/-36,961 cy of contaminated material along the navigational dredge footprint, which will then be disposed of in the CAD Cell No. 4 footprint within New Bedford Harbor. Additionally, beneficial reuse material from the dredging will be used as backfill material for the extension. Supplies furnished as part of this Contract are exempt from the Sales and Use Tax, and all labor as part of this project complies with current prevailing state wage rates. In addition, the project is partially funded with federal funds from U.S. Department of Maritime Administration Port Infrastructure Development Program and subject to federal Davis-Bacon minimum wage rates as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor including all regulations and requirements as stimulated by this funding authority. All bids submitted should take these factors into consideration and be calculated accordingly. The project is also subject to the Buy American Act, 41 U.S.C. chapter 83. Bidders must submit a 5% bid deposit with their bids. The selected contractor must furnish a Performance Bond for 100% and a Payment Bond for 50% of the Contract price within 10 days of the Contract award date The NBPA reserves the right to cancel this procurement at any time before a Contract is executed and approved, in which event the NBPA will reject all submissions received in response to the IFB. NBPA is an EOE/AA/ MBE/WBE employer
