The contractor shall make an allowance in his bid for any modifications or additions associated with construction of the project including any incidental or additional material, services or appurtenances not specifically described in the specifications but required to satisfactorily complete the project, (Bid Item 11). All work must be ordered by the Engineer to qualify for payment. This item is intended to be utilized to compensate the contractor for any unknown items of work. The contractor will be paid from the allowance based on a mutually agreeable price between the contractor and the Engineer prior to commencing work not specified. To qualify for payment, work must be ordered by the Engineer in writing. The contractor shall allow $5,000.00 for this item to cover the work in Bid Item 11. Nothing herein shall constitute a guarantee that the contractor is entitled to payment of any portion of the allowance. If no work is done under this item, the full amount of $5,000.00 shall not be paid by the Owner to the contractor. 2023 Municipal Building HVAC Improvements The project consists of replacing the existing air handling unit and the cooling tower on the roof of the administration building. It is the responsibility of prospective bidders who obtain bid documents to check the Marlboro Township website for any addenda issued prior to the bid opening. Any reference in the bid specification documents to the terms "Proposal" or "Proposer" shall be construed to have the same meaning as the terms "Bid" or "Bidder" pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Law. All bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq.) and all other applicable local, state and federal laws.
