Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Bedford, Pennsylvania. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project includes: Providing preliminary engineering services for the design a new membrane filtration building at the City's Water Filtration Plant (WFP) located in Bedford, Pennsylvania. The City currently uses conventional filtration in a building that has been renovated since being originally commissioned in 1913. The facility is currently permitted to provide 15 MGD to the City's water customers though they typically average between 4MGD and 6MGD. The awarded firm shall review existing operations and provide recommendations to build a new membrane filtration building within the wastershed at the WFP. The awarded firm shall generate a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) that outlines the existing conditions and recommendations for a new filtration plant. The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City. The City of Cumberland is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
