The Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) is seeking proposals for the purchasing and installation of new Calsense irrigation controllers, cabinets and its operational components in the City of Long Beach (City).The awarded Contractor shall perform the work in the Downtown Tidelands area (see attachments for locations). Goals The City is looking to centralize the irrigation system for the downtown area, allowing us to control and manage its irrigation system from one central controller. This centralization will help us meet our goals of water conservation and comply with the State of California Water Conservation Regulations. Award Terms This contract will be for a period of two years with the option to renew for three additional one-year periods. The total contract term will not exceed five years. The work required by this RFP includes: Install new and upgraded Calsense irrigation controllers, components, and enclosures as specified. The scope overview includes removing all existing equipment and installing new controllers, antennas, flow meters, antenna cable, new conduit, wire and trenching, master valves and programming the system to match the existing programmed watering schedules. The detailed scope of work at each controller location is specified below. The Contractor shall furnish all materials not specified on the City supplied parts list and labor.
