Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a municipal facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.

Project Information Abatement of hazardous materials in the entire municipal building and lower level of the public works building per the Skelly and Loy specification and drawings. Demolition of the entire municipal building and foundations including site utilities, pavement, concrete, retaining walls, landscaping, trees. and amenities as noted on the drawings. Demolition of the lower level of the public works building and existing patio area. Complete earth layback and grading. Provide E&S controls. Provide the temporary fence. Electrical Scope of Work: The electrical contractor shall trace out the underground conduits for the Salt Shed and site parking lots near the Salt Shed. Once location of underground conduits route conduits to a yard box. The existing cabling shall be pulled back to the new yard box and spliced with the new cables that is routed from the existing panel in the Public Works Building (PBW). Within the PBW installation of breakers and conduit to feed the existing panel attached to the existing Salt Shed and the existing site lights. Installation of a new photocell shall be installed on the side of the existing PBW that will control the site lighting near the existing Salt Shed. The conduits entering the PBW will have link seals provided. All excavation, backfill, and seeding shall be preformed by the electrical contractor and will follow the civil specifications requirements. The existing Municipal Building will be demolished by another contractor. The electrical contractor will lead the coordination of the disconnect and removal of utilities (Electrical and communications). Once the electrical utilities are disconnected the electrical contractor will disconnect conductors from the existing switchgear and remove cabling from the site transformer. The electrical contractor will disconnect and remove the communications cabling from the demarc. Questions will be accepted until end of day, Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Responses to questions will be answered in issued Addenda. The Pleasant Hills Borough is requesting bids to be made and will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder(s) all as more thoroughly described in the Contract Documents. A certified check, bid bond or a combination of both totaling an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Base Bid PLUS any Add Alternates and made payable to the Pleasant Hills Borough, must accompany each bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and/or to waive any informality, infirmity, omission, defect, irregularity and/or disqualifying error in any bid. The Borough anticipates awarding Contracts within forty-five (45) days of the bid opening. No bona fide bids shall be altered or withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening. All bids shall be clearly marked with contractor's name and Prime Contract number and name.
