This project includes emergency and non-emergency repairs of water and sewer lines and services on an on-call basis in Van Buren, Arkansas. The Owner will issue a notification of repairs, and the Contractor will generally have 6 hours to mobilize to the project site for an emergency repair and 72 hours to mobilize for a non-emergency repair. Bidders are advised that some construction materials will be provided by the Owner. The On-Call Services contract will be for calendar year 2024. Bidders shall include their Arkansas contractor s license number on the outside of their sealed bids. Any bid received after the scheduled opening time will be returned unopened. Bidders will be required to inform themselves of all Addenda duly issued in accordance with the requirements provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Information regarding the number of Addenda that have been duly issued can be obtained from Hawkins-Weir Engineers. Each Bidder must deposit with their Bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. All Bidders must be licensed in conformance with the Arkansas State Licensing Law for Commercial Contractors as defined in Arkansas Code 17-25-101 and related statutes. The City of Van Buren Municipal Utilities encourages participation of small, minority, and woman owned business enterprises in the procurement of goods, services, and construction, as either a general contractor or subcontractor. The City of Van Buren Municipal Utilities reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any and all Bids. Bids shall remain firm for a period not to exceed 60 days from the Bid opening date.
