Renovations, Space planning and Office Modernization services within the Security Services area at the General Services Building and at the Beanfield Centre. TIMELINE: A Request For Proposals has been issued by the owner. The intent of this RFP process is to establish an agreement with a suitable Consultant who is experienced in providing interior design and space planning, renovations and office modernization services. The selected successful firm will provide full consulting services which include interior design and renovations services, to coordinate with required subconsultants, estimate construction costs, assist in tendering, produce tender documents, permit application, contract administration, commissioning and project close out. The Board invites qualified engineering consulting firms who are experienced in Space Planning, Office Modernization and Interior Renovations for the Institutional, and Commercial office space including large exhibit halls, auditoriums, performing arts and convention centres. This will involve the provision of ongoing advisory services pertaining to all matters within the scope of this project to the designated Board Representative. As part of the scope of work, the Consultant shall: Provide full professional design and contract administration services. Be responsible for retaining any specialty sub-consultants as necessary, to carry out the full extent of the services described in this RFP. Be responsible for the client consultations, obtaining background information or establishing existing site conditions and dimensions to complete the scope of services as outlined in this RFP document. Examine the site; provide Auto-CAD drawings and hard copies for the Security Office Renovation space meeting the Ontario Building Code, City of Toronto standards, and all other legislation and regulations applicable. Existing drawings and plans will be provided to a successful bidder. Analyze the requirements of the project and advise the Boards Representative of any noted problems or the need for more information, clarification and direction to recommend the appropriate activities to complete the project and the Services.
