The City of Hutchinson, Kansas seeks a qualified firm/individual to design, fabricate and install holding stalls in the back area of the Zoo's Service Barn. All interested firms/individuals are invited to submit their proposals, in the format specified by this Request for Proposals. Submissions must be hand-delivered, or sent via return receipt delivery effected by certified mail, priority mail, commercial courier service, overnight delivery service, or other reliable personal delivery service to the City's above-referenced address. Facsimile or electronic submissions will not be accepted. Submissions received after the specified time and date will be returned unopened. City of Hutchinson Project Manager: Nicole Mantz, Director, Hutchinson Zoo 6 Emerson Loop East, Hutchinson, KS 67501 620-259-4120 nicole.mantz@hutchgov.com The City of Hutchinson, through the Hutchinson Zoo, a division of the Parks and Facilities Department, is requesting proposals from professional contractors to assist the City with the design, fabrication and installation of walls and doors to create an indoor-outdoor holding area that will replace the current stalls on the north end of the Zoo's service barn. The City's estimated budget for this project is $40,000. The current "back stalls" at the Hutchinson Zoo have most recently housed raptors and other large birds and provided protection during the winter. This area was built in the mid-80s and no longer meets modern standards. With the renovation of this space, the Zoo would like to see stalls subdivided with weathering yards and indoor space, as well as create stalls that could hold a variety of species that may need space in the future. The footprint of the space will not change with this renovation.
