The Engineers estimate for the cost of construction is $999,140. The Proposed Work Consists of: Replac- Ing Over 3,000 Feet of 4" and 6" Water- Lines on Balfour Road and Marshall Road (Balfour Road to Acres Road) With New 8" and 12" Lines. Each Property Will Be Provided a New Service From the Water Main to the Curb Box and Driveways. Will Be Replaced Within the Right-of-way Where the New Main Crosses Each Drive- Way. All Roadways Within the Work Limits. Will Be Milled and Resurfaced. All Bids Shall Be Signed and Submitted on the Blanks Which Are Bound in the Bidding Documents. Bid Blanks Must Be Returned in the Bound Documents. Bids Shall State the Unit Prices on the Blanks Provided Therefore; Shall Be Enclosed in a Sealed Envelope Marked "Bid for Balfour Road Waterline Improvements". Bids Received After the Scheduled Bid Opening Date and Time Will Neither Be Read Nor Considered and Will Be Returned Unopened to the Bidder. The City of Sylvania Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive Any Irregularity in Any Bid, to Determine the Lowest and Best Bidder, and to Waive Any InformaliTies in Bidding. The Bid Guaranty May Be of Two Forms: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond Using the Form in This Booklet. (the Amount of the Bid Does Not Have to Appear on This Form.) 2. A Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Letter of Credit in Favor of the City of Sylvania in the Amount of 10% of the Bid. If the Contract is Awarded, a Contract Bond Will Be Required, Which is a 100% Payment and Performance Bond . Upon Acceptance of the Work, a One Year Maintenance Bond in the Amount of 25% of the Contract Will Be Required to Guarantee Such Work. Not Bidder May Withdraw His Bid for a Period of 60 Days After the Scheduled Closing Time for the Receipt of Bids.
