Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Galveston, Texas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.

This proposed project will add: 1) a new low linear barrier along the north side of Seawall Blvd. between 12th & 61st Streets to separate the at grade sidewalk from the adjacent on-street vehicle parking; 2) new traffic calming measures incorporating medians, curb bump outs and high visibility crosswalks at four (4) unsignalized intersections along Seawall Blvd. to reduce speeds along the corridor and enhance pedestrian safety and a new HAWK Pedestrian Crossing in the 5400 Block of Seawall Blvd. The project is include in the City's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
