Anything in excess of this page limitation will not be read or considered. Resumes of proposed key personnel must be attached to the qualifications statement. Each resume shall be a maximum of two (2) single-sided 8 1/2 " x 11" sheets in length and should highlight education, professional credentials, and work performance on projects similar to that described below. The resume of the proposed project manager, as well as the resume(s) of proposed key technical staff must be included. Also included shall be a listing of work areas which the Consultant would subcontract out to other firms, the names of each subconsultant, summarized on one (1) page, and the resumes of the subconsultant's(s') project manager(s). One (1) original, unbound, and four (4) bound copies of the qualifications package must be in a sealed envelope, labeled with the project name, project number, and the name and address of the Consultant. As part of the 1991 additions and renovations to the correctional institution, inmate houses pods were constructed with high parapet masonry screen walls at the outermost corners of the new pod roofs. The original design and construction of these screen walls consisted of reinforced concrete masonry block walls (CMU) with vertical reinforcing bars in each cell as the backup walls, with 4" concrete masonry split-faced units on the exterior side. The backup wall was supported by the roof and roof beams, while the veneer connected to the backup wall was supported three floors below at ground level. The walls are capped with precast copings. The high parapet masonry screen walls need to be removed due to issues with significant movement, cracking, and deterioration of the masonry with some dislodging of masonry elements. The Scope of Work of this RFP includes the removals of the high parapet masonry walls at the four designated pods down to the same height of the remaining low roof parapets with materials to be installed to match the existing parapet caps and roofing system. High parapet masonry walls were previously removed from Pods F, L and M several years ago. In addition to the above Scope of Work this RFP also includes the design of new open, non-solid surface, screen wall elements at the areas where high parapet masonry walls are being removed. The new screens should be similar in type to a chain link fence or other owner approved open structure screen system. The purpose of the screens is to prevent contraband from being thrown onto the roofs from outside of the facility. The design of the screen wall system shall be as such to satisfy the protection from contraband criteria along with providing an economical solution. Services shall include the relocation of conduit and/or lighting and security cameras as required. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
