The Scope of Work of the Contract shall include all materials, labor, equipment, supervision and incidentals for the construction of Paving, water distribution system, wastewater collection system, storm water collection system, and related improvements of Solid Rock Village, Sec. 2 located in the City of Houston. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashier's check, mailed or delivered to 4615 North Freeway, Suite 212, Houston, TX 77022, reception desk, in an amount not less than 2 percent (2%) of the total amount bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Bonds on the forms provided and provide the required insurance certificates within seven (7) days after the date Contract Documents are received by the Contractor. Question Deadline is 12/06/2023 at 5PM. Answers will be uploaded into an Addendum. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except time of submitting a Bid. Contractors are to submit their Turnkey proposal price as well as # of consecutive calendar days they propose to complete the work within. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which, in the Owner's judgment, will be most advantageous and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project. Furthermore, the successful bidder will be required to provide performance, payment and maintenance bonds for the full amount of the contract. Contract documents will be prepared according to time proposed within the RFP and liquidated damages will occur in the amount of $500 per day that work exceeds the time proposed. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 90 days from the date bids are opened.
