This is not a bid solicitation. The City of Brandon (the City) is interested in obtaining information through this Request for Information (RFI) for Engineering Consulting Services for Domestic Sewer Flow Meter Support. The purpose of this RFI is to solicit information and interest from qualified vendors for the installation and maintenance of domestic sewer flow meters, including data QA/QC, analysis and data preparation for use in hydraulic modelling software. The City of Brandon is currently in the process of updating its hydraulic models for the domestic sewer system. As part of this process, the City is seeking to install and maintain 10 - 15 of our Hach FL902 digital loggers, with submerged acoustic Doppler flow sensors, at various locations throughout the system to accurately measure and record flow rates. Pipes range in size from 300mm to 1500mm. These flow rates will be used in the hydraulic modelling software to predict future system performance and identify potential areas of improvement. If the City proceeds with the purchase of Consulting Services for Domestic Sewer Flow Meter Support in the future, a formal Request for Proposal will be developed and respondents to this RFI will have the opportunity to provide a more formal bid submission. 1. Installation of flow meters at various locations throughout the domestic sewer system. The flow meters may be relocated 1 or 2 times per year. 2. Maintenance and calibration of flow meters to ensure accurate data collection 3. Data analysis and preparation for use in hydraulic modelling software, ensuring data collection and processing procedures are consistent and follow an established standard protocol. 4. Monitor and validate data to identify errors or inconsistencies in the data 5. Apply standardized QA/QC procedures on the data 6.
