The Genesee County Road Commission is soliciting bids to furnish all labor, equipment materials and supplies necessary for the performance of work described herein and meet operational standards unless otherwise specified at the Genesee County Road Commission located at 211 W. Oakley Street, Flint, MI. Working hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Crews must make work areas safe and secure at the end of each working day. Bidder understands and agrees that all necessary permits, licenses and insurances must be obtained and that all applicable federal, state and local codes, laws and regulations must be complied with. The Genesee County Road Commission reserves the right to reject or accept any or all proposals, in whole or in part, and waive any irregularities or formalities therein. The Work is more specifically described as: Submersible Hydraulic Power Unit Replacement - Elevator Serial #31948 Install a complete upgrade to the current submersible hydraulic power unit: o Tag the car out of service. o Lower the car on buffers and lock the disconnect in the open position. o Remove all hydraulic fluid from the oil reservoir. o Disconnect the hydraulic oil line from the hydraulic system. o Remove the entire hydraulic power unit from the elevator machine room including the existing hydraulic control valve, hydraulic pump, pump motor, oil reservoir and all metal framework. o Install new submersible hydraulic power unit; including compact oil reservoir with removable cover, new hydraulic control valve, submersible pump and pump motor which are directly coupled to eliminate the need for tensioning and periodic replacement of drive belts and drive sheaves, an in-line oil shut off valve as required and a new silencer. o Refill hydraulic fluid. o Adjust the new hydraulic control valve for proper speeds, floor level heights, floor approach, slowdown and overall performance. o Complete the required full capacity safety test on the hydraulic system as per the requirements if the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). o Turn the elevator back over to normal working operation.
